Baltimore is a great city to be in if you’re looking to have a good time. Whether you’re a resident or tourist, there are a million things to do that are likely to leave you with a smile on your face. If you’re in the great city of Baltimore and have found yourself thinking “I wish I knew of some fun things to do near me.” then you’re in luck. Baltimore happens to be the home of a ton of interesting things to do, and today we’re going to be looking at a couple of great ones that you can even bring your friends and family to.
Go-Kart Racing for All Ages
Baltimore is the home to an incredible indoor go-karting track. This track uses some of the most electric go-kart technology on the market and uses Italian made go-karts. For those 13 years of age and older the full experience is available, and the full experience is absolutely thrilling. These go-karts have 20 horsepower and can reach an incredibly 50 miles an hour. That’s faster than you can drive on most streets, and you can zoom around their track that is equipped with sensors that can give you your lap time within 1/100th of a second.
This track can even accommodate younger drivers with their junior karting. Their junior karting program is for children 8-12 that are at least 4 feet tall to experience the thrills of go-karting without going quite as fast as the regular go-karts do.
The best part about this facility is that they are hyper-concerned with safety. They spare no expense to make sure that you will have the safest experience possible. Everything about what they do, from the design of the karts they buy to the way their course is set up and even the helmets they provide, is designed to ensure that you’ll have the lowest risk possible when racing around their tracks.
Axe Throwing is for Most Ages
Axe throwing is a strict 13+ and all minors must be accompanied by their guardian. This activity is generally more geared for adults, but teenagers can participate as long as their guardian is with them.
The best axe throwing range in Baltimore happens to be in the same facility as the indoor go-karting course and axe throwing is a wonderful sport to experience. Think darts but instead of throwing something as small as a dart you get to throw around axes.
The reason for the dart comparison is obvious the more you learn about the game. Essentially, you stand facing a board that has a target on it. You then get points that are determined by where your axe sticks. This is a great game if your friend group or family likes to have a little competition and might want to have an experience they haven’t had before.
Before you even get your hands on an axe you’ll be taught the basic techniques to ensure that not only are you playing the game as effectively as possible, but also to make sure that you’re throwing the axes safely and not putting too much stress on your joints and muscles.
